These simulator units are used for Compartmental Fire Behaviour Training. They are specifically designed to teach fire fighters the principles of combustion and how a compartment fire is likely to develop and spread under different ventilated situations. Window Box units can be used to demonstrate the appropriate entry, extinguishing, cooling and ventilation techniques allowing students to understand the hazards and risks presented by this environment. In particular they are capable of replicating pre and post event conditions and phenomena such as ‘flashover’ and ‘backdraft’.
